August 7, 2025

Good News for Florida Homeowners: Grants Are Back for 2025!

The My Safe Florida Home Program is officially back as of August 4th, 2025 — and if you’re a Florida homeowner, this could mean up to $10,000 in matching grant money to fortify your home against hurricanes.

With funding renewed by the state, this popular program helps residents pay for storm-proof upgrades like:

  • Impact windows & doors
  • Roof strengthening
  • Storm shutters
  • Upgraded garage doors

Whether you missed the opportunity last year or are just now ready to protect your property, this is your chance to get serious help with the cost.

Who Qualifies?

To apply, homeowners must:

  • Live in a single-family, site-built home
  • Have a homestead exemption
  • Provide a recent wind mitigation inspection
  • Be located in a wind-borne debris region (that’s much of South Florida!)

The program provides $2 in matching funds for every $1 you spend, up to $10,000.
